Winter is Coming, RUN for your Lives!

This fall here in Utah hasn’t been the most beautiful I’ve seen since moving here, but it hasn’t been too bad. I’m told by reliable sources that the fall colors (changing of the leaves) is determined by the amount of rain we had in the spring and summer. I have no idea if that true or not, but I generally prefer a more “orange-y” fall to the bright “yellow-y” fall we had this year.

This is the view on the road to my house. Now it’s pretty brown and dead looking, but it was puuurty a couple weeks ago when I took this shot.

We did the Alpine Loop a couple of weeks ago as well. See map below.

I could have played with these images a bit more to bring out the purple-orange-yellow-green explosions of color, but I didn’t want to goof around too much on Photoshop.

  1. Last time I was in SLC (last spring) I think I might have ridden my bike down your street.  That looks mighty familiar.

    Well, you should have stop and helped us weed the front flower beds. Since that’s what we did all spring.

    OK… that’s what Reha did all spring and summer.

    I was busy doing *something* vital and important. Wish I could remember what it was.

Holy Crap! Look at all this STUFF down here. It's awesome!

 

Really, I'm glad you made it down here. Almost no one ever comes down here. I'm like in a freaking dungeon down here. I get lonely. But not you. YOU made it all the way to the end of the page. For this I think I've a little crush on you. I don't know, is "love" to strong a word to use in this situation? Well, if it's not "love," then it's very strong "like." I'm totally in like with you for coming down here. You are awesome. Please love me back! I know, I know, I shouldn't be all needy, it's not attractive at all, but you don't know how it is to be stuck down here. Who scrolls all the way to the end of a page anymore these days?
