These People Are C-R-A-Z-Y
Since Re got her new job, we have juggled things a bit in the Deal Family Compound Fortress (Yes, I did get deadbolts and new locks all over the house. Me, paranoid, nyahh). I’m still mostly in charge of getting the little kids out the door, but it all happens about twenty minutes earlier than it used to.
I know, twenty minutes, no big deal, right?
W-R-O-N-G!
Missing twenty-thirty minutes of sleep is is just about like asking me (or Reha, ESPECIALLY Re, as she’s NOT a morning person to begin with) to give up Diet Coke. Forever! And light the match setting the Diet Coke factory aflame. It’s not something we’d be excited about doing is what I’m trying to say.
But I’ve found that my mornings are fabulous these days. Jonah, who moves at a snail like pace while getting his socks on and is STILL probably eating his morning oatmeal right now, is funny and clever and when he argues with me about brushing his teeth I can just brush it off and shove the toothbrush back into this face, because we have TIME to accommodate all his crap.
Who’d’ve thunk that sacrificing a bit of sleep and going to bed earlier would have such huge results.
Though some people are still not that excited about the change:
“Why do I have to do anything besides play Jax and Daxter? Really? School? Are you sure? ‘Cause I already know a TON of stuff already.
Ellis doesn’t really care. She’s grumpy in the morning (still), but she’s adjusted pretty well.
“I’m only agreeing to this because you promised me a treat. Where the hell is my treat?”
Cute kids. Ihate getting up earlier than I have to. I don’t care for the daylight savings time spring forward part. The fall back I can handle…
I know mine would not be happy if they got up when I do. My alarm goes off at 5:45am. I have to be at work at 7:30 and it is at least a 30 minute drive. And I’m usually there 15 to 20 minutes early otherwise I’m parking out in the street.

There is only ONE good 5:45 on a clock and it does NOT have AM tagging along after it.

Really, I'm glad you made it down here. Almost no one ever comes down here. I'm like in a freaking dungeon down here. I get lonely. But not you. YOU made it all the way to the end of the page. For this I think I've a little crush on you. I don't know, is "love" to strong a word to use in this situation? Well, if it's not "love," then it's very strong "like." I'm totally in like with you for coming down here. You are awesome. Please love me back! I know, I know, I shouldn't be all needy, it's not attractive at all, but you don't know how it is to be stuck down here. Who scrolls all the way to the end of a page anymore these days? Anyway, thanks for shedding some light down here in the depths. I appreciate it. Shoot me an email and I'll send you a dollar, OK?
