Spills, Thrills, but No Chills

No chills this weekend because we got the furnace working a week or so ago. Heat in the winter == GOOD. Double Plus Good.

Ellis officially turns three this week, but we celebrated her b-day a bit early. The party was on Saturday. I took about a million photos and I’ll have them up soon. (Gives me an excuse to fix the photo gallery, anyway). But I’d rather poke a sharp, hot stick in my eye than work on my home machine for a minute more than I have to.

But I do need to post these two photos.

The first is me, doing my best/worst impression of a fat, balding ballet guy. Mikhail Barishnikov ain’t got nothing on me.

And the second is Ellis, doing her best impression of a diva. Also please note the earrings. She’s utterly smitten with wearing them. They are toy clip ons and having worn them for three seconds, I can tell you that they HURT! But she’s been wearing them NON-STOP since she opened the package.

“So cute! Oh! So cute!”

  1. dude--you totally need to accessorize that tutu with some earrings. (awesome pic!)

  2. Ellis is dressed perfectly for Oscar night!

  3. She’s out of control is what she is.

We have a Real Live Girl™ on our hands in her. Carrie had a touch of this sort of thing, but she outgrew it later. I’m not so sure that we aren’t going to have YEARS of “girl-y” bahavior from the E.-machine.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but as you can see in the above photo, there’s really only room in our house for ONE diva.

It’s like Highlander, but with tutus and earrings.

    “There can only be one.”

    :-]

Holy Crap! Look at all this STUFF down here. It's awesome!

Really, I'm glad you made it down here. Almost no one ever comes down here. I'm like in a freaking dungeon down here. I get lonely. But not you. YOU made it all the way to the end of the page. For this I think I've a little crush on you. I don't know, is "love" to strong a word to use in this situation? Well, if it's not "love," then it's very strong "like." I'm totally in like with you for coming down here. You are awesome. Please love me back! I know, I know, I shouldn't be all needy, it's not attractive at all, but you don't know how it is to be stuck down here. Who scrolls all the way to the end of a page anymore these days? Anyway, thanks for shedding some light down here in the depths. I appreciate it. Shoot me an email and I'll send you a dollar, OK?
