Fun Now, Pain Later

Lucas would have NEVER forgiven me if we hadn’t gone snowboarding at least once this season. I had already promised to take him twice and had blown him off when other things came up. Lucas is not one of those kids who’ll just let you slide with that sort of behavior either. He remembers every single thing we ever said we’d do for/with him. Like that time we promised to go to Lagoon (local amusement park) and we just never got around to it and then it began to snow. He still brings that up.

Anyway, here’s evidence that sometimes I can actually keep promises. Though he did get me back for all the delays. Little goober took me down a Black Diamond run. Yes, I fell on that one.

Boy has fine form!

Shredder in training. :-]

So there’s this tree on to the left as you ride up the Crest Express at Brighton. People of the female variety have made it something of a tradition to toss and lodge their undergarments in the branches of the tree. So it’s the “Panty Tree.”

The beard comes in handy for keeping the face warm!

Lucas, sitting on the ground, telling me that it’s time to get off our duffs and get down the mountain!

Holy Crap! Look at all this STUFF down here. It's awesome!

Really, I'm glad you made it down here. Almost no one ever comes down here. I'm like in a freaking dungeon down here. I get lonely. But not you. YOU made it all the way to the end of the page. For this I think I've a little crush on you. I don't know, is "love" to strong a word to use in this situation? Well, if it's not "love," then it's very strong "like." I'm totally in like with you for coming down here. You are awesome. Please love me back! I know, I know, I shouldn't be all needy, it's not attractive at all, but you don't know how it is to be stuck down here. Who scrolls all the way to the end of a page anymore these days? Anyway, thanks for shedding some light down here in the depths. I appreciate it. Shoot me an email and I'll send you a dollar, OK?
