Disturbing Trend

I was cruising through my iPhoto library yesterday evening and I noticed a slightly alarming thing.

Ellis is goofy.

Now, it could be said that all of our children our goofy. Some might say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. (My goofiness tree. Reha’s NOT goofy, she’s hilarious, but it ain’t goofy). Some might also pick up the fallen fruit and try and pelt you with it, but that’s beside the point.

Please note photographic evidence earlier days of her penchant for goofiness:

OK, technically we dressed her up like this (Halloween ‘04), but you have to understand she LOVED looking like a lion. The frilly stuff on her head was like toddler crack to her.

I’ve shown this one before as evidence that she’s wierd. But it never hurts to add to her embarassment later in life.

A bit blurry, and that’s my hat. But look at that expression on her face. She’s reveling in her state of goof. Bless her heart.

This is from her birthday party earlier this year. Yes, it’s a party hat, and yes, it’s a party. But you have to know that NO ONE else was wearing their hats at his point. She was the ONLY one who still had a hat on. Is there anything wrong with this? No, of course not. Not really, but I’m just saying… what does it mean that she loves to put things on her head and parade around in them?

Reha was cleaning out her drawers, getting rid of clothes that were too small or winter clothes. Ellis grabbed the panties as soon as she saw them and placed them on her head. See what I’m talking about?

Finally we have the latest shot. The “piece de resistance” if you will. And what you can’t see from the photo is the dancing that takes place after she’s plopped an object on her head. My heavens, the dancing! The wiggling and the giggling. They never end!

And I think I’m OK with that. :-]

  1. Ellis is still small enough to be thrown at people. I, however, am “voluptious”. The whole throwing thing? Just not going to work with me. On the other hand, on the matter of pelting, I think my skin is nice and smooth enough that it could bind a volume of Mystyk Spelz or something.
But anyway, this fruit ain’t movin’. I think I’m sprouting.

  2. Goofy, maybe.  Adorable, definitely.  (And don’t worry, I’m not going to comment on everything.)

Holy Crap! Look at all this STUFF down here. It's awesome!

Really, I'm glad you made it down here. Almost no one ever comes down here. I'm like in a freaking dungeon down here. I get lonely. But not you. YOU made it all the way to the end of the page. For this I think I've a little crush on you. I don't know, is "love" to strong a word to use in this situation? Well, if it's not "love," then it's very strong "like." I'm totally in like with you for coming down here. You are awesome. Please love me back! I know, I know, I shouldn't be all needy, it's not attractive at all, but you don't know how it is to be stuck down here. Who scrolls all the way to the end of a page anymore these days? Anyway, thanks for shedding some light down here in the depths. I appreciate it. Shoot me an email and I'll send you a dollar, OK?
