But Can You Get Paid for That Knowledge?

Ellis comes marching down the hallway with a determined look on her face.

“Jonah is wrong! He is wrong. He is WRONG!”

“What is he wrong about, Ellis?”

“He says the princesses on my lamp are not Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and Aurora!” she reaches a crescendo, hitting levels of screeching previously thought unobtainable, “HE IS WRONG!” There no words to describe how loud she is yelling now. And her little fists are balled up, her face is red and she is twitching with pent up anger. She punctuates every word through her gritted teeth by slamming her tiny fists down on the back of a chair, “HE. IS. WRONG!”

Jonah sort of stumbles into the room, knowing that he has accomplished his goal of tormenting his little sister. He has the stupidest, meanest, sheepish grin plastered all over his goofy eight year old face. Who even knows what he really said to her to set her off.

She rounds on him, “I know my princesses, Jonah!”

So nobody come to our house thinking they can get away with telling our four year she doesn’t know her princesses, mmm K? She’s got that stuff down COLD.

  2. Oh I love this!  I can visualize how very upset she was and am sad she has been broken into the world of sib-gender-scuffles.  But wow, she holds her own, Go Ellis!

  3. Popped over from Radioactive Jams place.

I have a couple of nephews that get into it like that.  Damn funny!!  Of course our kids just laugh at them which gets them going more.

And since I don’t know anything about princesses, I should I come over :-)

  4. Glad to see that everyone in your household is playing their proper and God given role. Isn’t it amazing how the Disney princess thing takes on a life of it’s own?. I can honestly say that our five year old has never seen a Disney Princess movie b/c her older brother won’t allow “such feminine drivel” to be viewed in our home but she still has a handle on names, faces and important details. Scary and pervasive that Disney princess PR machine.

  5. The Disney Machines definitely has a captive audience in Ellis.

She’ll smack you down hard if you say anything bad about one of her peeps.

Holy Crap! Look at all this STUFF down here. It's awesome!

Really, I'm glad you made it down here. Almost no one ever comes down here. I'm like in a freaking dungeon down here. I get lonely. But not you. YOU made it all the way to the end of the page. For this I think I've a little crush on you. I don't know, is "love" to strong a word to use in this situation? Well, if it's not "love," then it's very strong "like." I'm totally in like with you for coming down here. You are awesome. Please love me back! I know, I know, I shouldn't be all needy, it's not attractive at all, but you don't know how it is to be stuck down here. Who scrolls all the way to the end of a page anymore these days? Anyway, thanks for shedding some light down here in the depths. I appreciate it. Shoot me an email and I'll send you a dollar, OK?
