Ransom Note Typography “Walker” Tee Shirt

Now you can have your very own Official Ransom Note Typography "Walker" Tee Shirt.

Art has been hand drawn. White ink on a black shirt. On the back is this site's address in teeny-tiny type.

As of this second, I am settling the printing details, getting quotes, brand of the shirt, etc. They will be silk screened.

At this point, it would be incredibly helpful to know some quantities before I launch. Please drop me a line and let me know that you want one (size, men's, women's is also quite useful). I will mail you when you can order a shirt. It'll be soon, just a couple things to iron out.

Get it?!

Iron out the details.

And they are shirts!

Iron. Like sometimes, you iron shirts

[crickets chirping]

Oh, never mind.

You can also leave a comment, but make sure your email address is correct.

Is it just me, or is "no-face, grey guy" kind of creepy?

UPDATE! I have bids! Going into production next week! Details on shirt make, price ($17-$18, plus shipping, taxes), and the rest of the details are forthcoming; I'm just waiting on ONE last vendor bid who comes highly recommended, but is "maybe not so good with the English, yes?" Though he sports a pretty adorable accent, it doesn't set my confidence meter on fire, you know? Anyway, drop me a line and I'll get back to you when things really start happening.

More IM Conversations I Shouldn’t Have Had

Me: Hey-o!

Co-Worker: Hi jon.

Me: I just saw your letter of recommendation for Law School on Heidi’s desk!
Me: Very cool.
Me: I added a little something at the end.

Co-Worker: Um....

Me: “A. is SO awesome! She’s DA BOMB! You should like, TOTALLY let her in to your Law School thing-y! She’s excellently awesome!!!”

Co-Worker: Um. As long as it’s positive?

Me: Only I didn’t have a pen
Me: So it’s in pink marker
Me: Kinda fluorescent actually
Me: Smells like cotton candy! Yum!
Me: Though I did it left handed, so it’s a lot more scribble-ly than I’d have liked.
Me: And Heidi tried to grab it away from me.
Me: so it’s crumpled
Me: maybe a little torn.
Me: OK. torn in half is probably a better way to say that
Me: but I used a TON of scotch tape, so you can’t hardly even tell it’s ripped anymore.

She then CALLED me on my direct line, panicked, sweaty and hyperventilating.

I am not a good person.

Have you heard from Carrie? [ed. note: She’s gotten into another college, gotten another scholarship, but this one is here in town.]

I have heard from her. She has plans with Autumn today.

OK.
More important than *anything* is this question:
Are you with me and a full member of “Team Keep Carrie in Salt Lake City at ANY Cost”?

I’m designing a logo and getting jackets made.

I don’t know that I have a strong opinion about where Carrie goes [to college] except that she should do what’s best for her and I think it should be her decision.

See, that’s where you are WRONG, my friend.
wrong. Wrong. WRONG.
WE should be making these decisions FOR her, based on OUR selfish desires and what WE think works best for US.
Are you sure you’ve been paying attention all these years?
I thought I’d been pretty clear on this issue for a while now.
I mean, it’s worked out so well in the past!

Then my keyboard broke, from all the hot, salty and slightly pathetic tears I shed on it.

I may be having a bit of a hard time adjusting to all this.

UPDATE! There is now a flickr group dedicated to my cause! If you aren’t on flickr, feel free to email me and I’ll post it to the group.

Uncle Joe

It’s “Spirit Week” at Carrie’s high school. Today is 50s day. So she is supposed to dress in period clothes, etc.

She is NOT wearing a poodle skirt.

She is going as McCarthyism.

She was going to go as The Red Menace, but it seems all her red shirts are in the wash. Her Joe Stalin tee in particular.

Is it any wonder that I don’t want her to go far away for college?

“Are you now or have you ever been affiliated with the Communist Party?”

“I have a subpoena here in my pocket from HUAC and I’m not afraid to use it.”

Child of Love #1 makes me laugh very hard.

Stop What You Are Doing

Go read this speech by Senator Obama on race.

I may or may not have cried a little at the end.

Shut up. I totally had something in my eye. I wasn’t weeping or anything. It’s dusty here.

It’s a very good speech, that’s all I’m saying.

Holy Crap! Look at all this STUFF down here. It's awesome!

Really, I'm glad you made it down here. Almost no one ever comes down here. I'm like in a freaking dungeon down here. I get lonely. But not you. YOU made it all the way to the end of the page. For this I think I've a little crush on you. I don't know, is "love" to strong a word to use in this situation? Well, if it's not "love," then it's very strong "like." I'm totally in like with you for coming down here. You are awesome. Please love me back! I know, I know, I shouldn't be all needy, it's not attractive at all, but you don't know how it is to be stuck down here. Who scrolls all the way to the end of a page anymore these days? Anyway, thanks for shedding some light down here in the depths. I appreciate it. Shoot me an email and I'll send you a dollar, OK?
